Yarn for a kitty hat

I have a new project! I got 2 balls of loop-d-loop shale in black in the mail recently and I am going to be making a lovely hat scarf combo with it. I'm thinking I can make a nice hat out of one ball and a skinny loose garter scarf out of the other. It feels really nice and is not nearly as fuzzy as most mohair blends I have handled. Hopefully it works up easy, black can be a pain in the butt.
